On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, Wildlife Jewels celebrated the official launch of the Wildlife Jewels Recue Crew program with a ribbon cutting ceremony at La Colonia Community Center in Solana Beach. Wildlife Jewels is a not-for-profit organization, and their new Recue Crew is a trained volunteer program that helps locate, document, report, and support recue pathways for wildlife in need. They serve coastal regions of Southern California, including Orange County and San Diego County. The program aims to strengthen support and education about wildlife facing injury, entanglement, illness, and other human caused threats.
