Upcoming E-Bike Safety Classes In San Diego

Supervisor Terra Lawson-Remer is opening registration for free, hands-on youth e-bike safety classes across San Diego County this June through August. 

Several free classes will be offered in partnership with the San Diego Bike Coalition, Scripps Health, and the YMCA. Each class is a three-hour course designed for riders ages 12-16. Participants will practice real-world riding skills with certified instructors through classroom instruction, parking lot drills, and supervised street riding. 

The following classes will be held closest to Solana Beach:

• La Jolla (Register Here)

  Saturday, August 8, 1:00 - 4:00 PM
• Encinitas (Register Here)
  Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA, 200 Saxony Rd
  Saturday, August 22, 1:00 - 4:00 PM

Riders should bring their own bike, electric or manual. Helmets will be provided, as every participant will receive a free e-bike rated helmet, courtesy of Scripps Health!
